How to teach geography...
- Use maps, globes, and technology to explain to the students the overall setup of the earth.
- Use national geographic magazines to explain the smaller details of what the earth holds.
- Discuss weather and/or natural disasters as they occur.
- Keep the students up to date on the reoccurring changes of the earth which include weather, population, climates, landscapes, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other earthly characteristics.
The importance of geography...
- Reassure that students have a rich and accurate understanding of information about their surrounding geography through hands on activities of the earth’s population and its characteristics.
- Reassure that students have the skills needed to use a map, globe, technology, and hands on needed materials.
- Reassure students hold a personal perspective of the environment and on the people, places, and the areas which we are surrounded by.
- Reassure our students have the knowledge on what to be prepared for and what to expect of the world
